Description

Oribi Gorge has an impressive and diverse ecosystem of bushveld, grassland, coastal forest and wetlands. This natural landscape offers a place of peace and tranquillity. There is an abundance of wildlife and flora to be seen. The gorge is approximately 400 metres deep and almost 5 kilometres wide at its widest.
Howick Falls – The waterfall is approximately 94 metres in height and lies on the Umngeni River. The Zulu people call the falls Kwanogqaza, which means “Place of the Tall One”
The Nelson Mandela Capture Site is a cultural and historical exhibition that is situated at the site at which Nelson Mandela was apprehended for his anti-Apartheid activism acts in August 1952. Mr Mandela had been travelling in disguise as the chauffeur of the car he drove and was on the R103 road between Durban and Johannesburg.
